This week (April 13-19)

April 14, 2020

According to Christian Tradition, Easter is a season that extends from Easter Sunday all the way to the 50th day - Pentecost Sunday. It is a whole season in which we practice and live into the hope of resurrection...

"My whole life I have been complaining that my work was constantly interrupted, until I discovered the interruptions were my work." - Henri Nouwen, Reaching Out (New York: Bantam, 1986)

Christ is risen! I pray that we find ourselves being interrupted by the Holy Spirit even as we navigate through the pandemic.

While our popular culture sees Easter as a day, Easter is a season according to Christian Tradition. The season extends from Easter Sunday all the way to the 50th - Penteceost Sunday. Easter is a season of hope. It is also a reminder for us to practice (live into) our resurrection faith. Even in such a time as this, we are each called to participate in God's work in this world through prayer, generosity, compassion...etc. Each week, pick one battle to take on from here.

Via Zoom, we are resuming our Wednesday Bible studies at 7:30pm (led by Eydie) and Sunday Education forum at 10am (led by Brian). Let us know (facebook message us here ) if you want to participate.
